Rear Window

Rear Window... A wheelchair-bound photographer spies on his neighbours from his apartment window and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder.
Amazing dedication and effort of work has made this movie a cinema classic for all the previous and upcoming generations.
First of all it's very different.
It has easy plot, somewhat not too hard characters either, and it has very few twists, it seems perfectly normal for a regular movie made by some good moviemakers, but now look at the director of this movie and you'll change your opinion with a blink of an eye.
Alfred Hitchcock directed this movie, easily the greatest thriller/mystery director to have ever lived makes a movie that is totally out of his moviemaking range and style, proving that he can carve any kind of movie into a masterpiece.
Although the movie itself isn't as mysterious as most of the Hitchcock masterworks, it still has very manipulating elements, starting off with clever romance, interesting characters,  breathtaking drama, intriguing plot and exciting thriller sequences, and while this movie's plot is easy, it's not predictable of any kind.
James Stewart is fantastic in this movie, and all the other movies he has played in too of course.
He plays a guy that is very clever, smart and has high intelligence, but there is one scene where he is completely helpless and needs the help of other characters, that's what this movie needs indeed, other actors to help James Stewart's character work.
Grace Kelly is the biggest help he got from any actor, she is brave, interesting and a very smart person.
Rear Window is a movie that excites audience from the very start, first of all it makes you interested by letting you learn the story, characters and the feelings between them.
Then the very next minute it starts to build suspense around the beloved characters that we get to know on the first half of the movie.
If you like Hitchcock movies and perhaps Home Alone, then the chances that you'll like the Rear Window three times more are very big.

Digimon: The Movie

Digimon: The Movie... Three Digimon movies combined. It starts out when Kari and Tai are finding their first Digimon.
After that the group has to eliminate a virus that has spread on to a Digimon.
It's funny, creepy, entertaining, dramatic, actually there are very few movies coming close to it in this category.
While it's a great watch for everybody, it's still mostly meant for the fans, but it's goddamn epic, two of the best Digimon seasons combined what else could you expect?
Comedy is... funny? Damn right it is, random dubbed dialogues are making some of the scenes very ridiculous, but also funny.
In the other hand, it's one of the scariest animations I've ever seen, villains are just so well sketched that we are meant to be afraid of them, there's no other way, scarier than most of the horror movies made today.
But then in the other hand after that, it can be very dramatic too, tearing apart even the strongest parts of the audience and shred them to tears.
This movie has one of the best film score and music ever, period.
What we get here is the ultimate playlist including Smash Mouth, Paul Gordon, Less than Jake and many others.
And it has one of the coolest anime characters ever, there's just so much of them and the Digimons are looking cooler than ever.
Writing is the only thing in this movie that we could call a Con.
Although it sure has some weaker plot points that are later leading into a plotholes and cliches, but it's not meant to be perfect, it's Digimon and that's what we would like to see.

It's pretty hard to review something that has made such a big impact on your childhood, still my rating in here is based on what I think the audience will like, the professionally and how much effort they have but on making this... "Digimon Vs Pokemon whose side are you on?"

John Wick

John Wick... An ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him.
It's a specialized cinema artwork, a perfect example of what an action movie should be.
The main character John Wick played by Keanu Reeves is definitely one of the most badass character ever in film, period.
Brilliantly detailed backstory is what makes his character as interesting, and not just another boring not-vulnerable character that we don't live up with, he sure ain't vulnerable but he has his reasons doing stuff, and it all makes sense.
Characters in this movie have class, it has a lot of villains, but all of them are necessary for the story.
Willem Dafoe is easily the most talented actor in this movie, dominating almost every scene he's in.
Cinematography is stunning, every action scene looks very realistic and perfectly choreographed.
Lights are helping this movie to alter a much darker undertone, mostly all the colors that you notice and that dominate are the black and white.
Storytelling is nearly perfect, directing has its style Chad Stahelski's and David Leitch's duo directing is working just fine, they should start making more movies together.
This movie starts out the same way as it ends, it starts out with a devastating heartbreak and ends with one.
John Wick might be the push for Keanu Reeves to get back on track, it's easily his best movie since the Matrix.
Good characters, badass protagonist, and stunning visuals along with excellent directing and writing are making it into something that the world hasn't quite seen before, but indeed needs.

Ride Along

Ride Along...Security guard Ben must prove himself to his girlfriend's brother, top police officer James. He rides along James on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta.
A decent buddy-cop comedy, filled with restless comedy, this movie is at least good for a Sunday night watch.
It's cheesy and mostly predictable, since you can predict most of the mayor plot points, and twists from the start, but considering the fact that most of the buddy-cop movies are two times more predictable than that, it's not that bad.
Kevin Hart is absolutely funny in this flick, he's dumb, silly and many other things, but still while being completely retarded, he still has a very big heart and is the only character that helps the movie to move on in overall.
Ice Cube in the other hand is one of the best examples of "How to not make an Action Hero."
He's not vulnerable, we have no fear of his character, a complete opposite of what a Hero should be, he's like a brake for this movie to succeed.
Dialogues aren't professional, but they are funny, although most jokes aren't original in here and are suffering due to weak writing.
Ride Along is funny, but sure it ain't professional, enough.
It's not a masterpiece, but it's funny no matter what.
Still Kevin Hart should get a lot more praise for this movie, since he's the only part of it, that they could have not possibly made better.

Back to the Future III

Back to the Future 3... Enjoying a peaceable existence in 1885, Doctor Emmet Brown is about to be killed by Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen. Marty McFly travels back in time to save his friend.
It's just that kind of end that this trilogy needed indeed.
Back to the Future and Indiana Jones movies are similar only due to one simple reason, we're expecting some big exploration.
From that perspective Back to the Future 3 is brilliant, offering us old beloved characters, old locations, but in the other hand it clearly has many new characters, same old locations just it's the story that happens 100 years in the past, in the 1885, vivid way of storytelling is making it fun to rediscover everything from a different perspective.
Old and New things are perfectly balanced, 50% old things and 50% new things, just like a last installment of the trilogy should act out.
It has pretty tolerable writing, miraculously intense storyline for us to follow and pretty tarnation good dialogues along with yet again glorious directing by Robert Zemeckis.
It also includes best visuals and CGI out of these three movies.
There clearly aren't almost any boring screen minutes in this movie, why am I saying almost but not totally? Because of the love sequences, that aren't romantic in here, they aren't heartbreaking they are boring.
You just can't simply transform the coolest trilogy ever into a love story, that just doesn't work out.
But almost losing a friend is insanely heartbreaking in this flick, sad and devastating, although in the end, everything is still as chill and cool as the entire trilogy.

Rating: 3/4

Back to the Future II

Back to the Future 2...After visiting 2015, Marty McFly must repeat his visit to 1955 to prevent disastrous changes to 1985...without interfering with his first trip.
It might not be as good as the original, but the joy and excitement that comes along with those movies is simply incredible, Back to the Future's trilogy offers us so much excitement they keep us excited for the next installment like no-one else in the entire world does.
It has the most beloved characters, when McFly and Dr.Brown are going to take the most epic journey of their life, its fascinating.
Visuals and the technical side are both brilliant.
Directing by Robert Zemeckis is astonishing, at least now we all know that he's the right man to Direct Back to the Future movies.
And they are actually traveling through time to visit 2015, it's something remarkable, because we can all say now that the entire "Back to the Future trilogy" storyline is set in the past.
While the story of the movie sounds at least two times more epic than the first one, writing is actually worse, a lot worse, damn this movie has to deal with some serious plotholes.
Well, not if you think about it, so let's have a closer look.
Year 2015 in the movie, every single character, every single scene is related to 1955, now they are just two different eras, but all the scenes look the same.
Do all of you remember the Ape-man from the first movie?
Don't worry he's in the second movie too.
Easily the worst character in the movie, we could take him in the first movie, okay it's clear you should hate the villan of the movie that's the point of it, but no it's not that kind of hatred.
We simply hate that character, does any of us hate "Joker" or "Darth Vader" yes we do, but we hate them as villains, but the hatred against that Ape-man or Biff or whatever is something totally different.
What does the second movie tries to accomplish, well I'll tell you what, it wants to be the exact copy of the first movie, it completely relies on the old scenes, the old characters, the old everything, they tried to copy the first incredibly epic movie of the trilogy, but what are we left with is no exploration fun at all, only the 2015s but that's it.
I know it might sound like I hated the movie, but no personally I liked it, the point is it's disappointing after seeing the first movie, if you'll watch the second one before the first one, it's going to be one hell of a ride.

Back to the Future

Back to the Future... A young man is accidentally sent thirty years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his friend, Dr. Emmett Brown, and must make sure that his high-school-age parents unite to save his own existence.
Coolest movie ever made, period, filled with timeless characters and restless comedy.
It has one of the most memorable characters in the history of cinema, who in overall make this movie a lot easier to like and also, to watch.
Actors in this movie aren't the most talented ones, but fuck it this movie has... the coolest dude ever Marty Mcfly played by Michael J.Fox he's just terrific, he nails every scene that he is at, and that Nutty professor Dr. Emmett Brown played by Christopher Lloyd is also a very decent character.
These two guys are just the "Jackpot" for this movie, they add drama, they add comedy, they both dominate every scene where they are at.
From the technical side, Back to the Future is spectacular filled with great CGI, epic music and professional sound editing, this flick has better visuals than many movies made today.
Writing and storyline are pretty awesome, its arguable that the story is a bit broken and writing lacks of quality at times leading into some serious plotholes, but you have to admit that it's actually goddamn epic, can't argue that.
And Comedy is just stupendous, containing breathtaking jokes and funny characters, comedy of this movie is definitely not going to keep anyone cold.
Back to the Future for some hell of a reason is suffering because lack of professionalism, but at the end of the day it doesn't ever matter, because it's so damn enjoyable to watch, what makes this movie so great? Well It's nearly impossible to hate it and it's perfectly rewatchable.

Ben-Hur

Ben-Hur...When a Jewish prince is betrayed and sent into slavery by a Roman friend, he regains his freedom and comes back for revenge, it's the smallest possible plot synopsis, this movie has the enormous amount of plot details as even Holy Jesus is involved.
It's an Epic Adventure/Drama movie, among one of the greatest ever made, out of all the Ben-Hur movies, this 1959s version easily remains the best of the punch.
This movie has a humongous amount of characters, all adding great value to the story.
Acting is kept professional, Charlton Heston/Ben Hur is excellent, dominating every single minute out of almost four-hour running time.
Beautiful score and music choice, superb directing by William Wyler along with astonishing cinematography.
Although it's an impressive Adventure Epic, it has its class in building drama too, tragedy is owning spectacular part of the movie, all this adventure is builded on top of touching scenes and heartbreaking drama sequences.
Supreme writing, every scene worthy of its screen minutes, if you make it halfway through the movie, at some certain points you might feel that this is the end for granted, but no it's not going to be the end, it's not boring, actually it keeps you excited all the way till the end credits, because every time you think the story ends a new plot detail will emerge.
Ben-Hur is one hell of a ride containing many different ingredients, intriguing adventure, trustworthy History, touching Drama and most important of them all it will haunt you after leaving the cinema for a while.

Requiem for a Dream

Requiem for a Dream...Tells a story of four Conley Island drug addicts, as their addictions run deep, and reality gets shattered.
Groundbreaking work from the director Darren Aronofsky, introducing the dangerous, disgusting, and sadly the real dark side of the drug addiction, brilliantly capturing the everyday struggles, and what it causes for both the addicts and to their families.
Featuring powerful performances by Ellen Burstyn and Jared Leto, send by sensational score, and altering a deep, heartbreaking tone.
Based on the book by Hubert Selby Jr, it's far beyond the lines, that the book failed to discover, writing is supreme, plot is miraculously correct, realistic and succeeds to achieve its goals.
Despite being a solid drama movie, its building psychological suspense and thrills around the drama and story, making some of the scenes look a bit creepy, gorgeous make-up and strong performances are very helpful in creating unreal atmosphere too, that later makes the movie something we call a Masterpiece.
Requiem for a Dream, it's a beautiful movie experience, but indeed featuring one of the worst scenarios that could happen to human-beings, handful of talent, it's that kind of movie that defines the decade.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...a couple undergoes a procedure to have each other erased from their memories. But it is only through the process of loss that they discover what they had to begin with.
A hard to resist sci-fi/drama movie that focuses on destroying both your feelings and reality vision, since the story evolves in a mans head it's hard to fully understand the story.
Charlie Kaufman's writing style, vivid way of storytelling make it absolutely unique, brilliance in writing makes the story move forward along with the audience.
Directing is professional, Michel Gondry knew what to keep in and what to cut out.
Acting is miraculously surprising, Jim Carrey is American Roman Atkinson, but in this flick he proves to be a very talented actor, Kate Winslet's acting is absolutely beautiful, this all-star list of actors is really big, and they all gave up a spectacular performances.
While Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind has shown excellence in both directing, storytelling, and in acting, it still relies on the visual side of the movie.
Stunning visuals, brilliant CGI masterworks, every scene flows by like a mockingbird, masterclass of cinematography and CGI.
This movie makes you question reality, while you get to know the characters better and their backstories, every single character becomes a important aspect of your life, astonishing, romance genre has made an epic downhill ride since the past decade, due to originality and cheesiness, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is unique, special, beautiful and absolutely very important for the whole genre to be revived.

The Notebook

The Notebook...A poor and passionate young man falls in love with a rich young woman and gives her a sense of freedom. They soon are separated by their social differences.
A touching drama movie that extensively keeps up with the audience, moving slow and steady, but once you enter the story, get to know the characters and live up to the mood, there simply isn't no way out but to watch it all the way till the end.
Acting is superb, starting from Rachel McAdams who is absolutely gorgeous in this movie, and Ryan Gosling surprisingly puts up a spectacular performance too, chemistry between these two is the reason The Notebook evolves deeper in your body, and getting much quickly into your heart.
There is one true excitement element, it's the unpredictability of the plot, you can't predict the story of The Notebook, you can't predict the destiny and choices of the characters till the end, surprising excellence in storytelling.
Capturing the emotions, intrigues, and mood of the 1930s the way they did it is simply exhilarating.
Character development, and powerful performances leave no other choice for you but to fall in love with the characters, the story, everything, and then in the end cry, certainly.
The Notebook is one of the most touching drama movie of the century, but sadly also one of the most underrated movie of all time.

Candyman

Candyman...a murderous soul with a hook for a hand, is accidentally summoned to reality by a skeptic grad student researching the monster's myth.
This movie is a complete mess-up, that keeps rolling down the hill since the very start, its racist, ridiculous, absurd and it fails to keep up its premise.
Horror in this movie isn't "Troll 2" kind of bad, but it fails to excite the audience, simply no intrigues at all, only good horror sequences, and literally only tolerable parts of this movie are the flashback kind of jumpscare scenes at the start of the movie, where the bad guy shows up for a second from nowhere.
Story is bad, writing totally sucks, I'm not even sure how this movie was published by Polygram and Propaganda films.
Even the acting is almost a complete garbage, Virginia Madsen is the only "OK" actor in it, the others are just a huge failure.
What's is the main ingredient of a Candyman movie? Well you guessed it, of course the Candyman itself, and could he possibly be even worse Candyman than he is in here? I think not.
From the first time you see the almighty Candyman, you know that the whole movie is screwed, he has ridiculous backstory, completely non-scary look, his voice sounds like James Earl Jones w suffocating, I'm not even going to talk about the shitty dialogues that the writers for some hell of a reason left in.
They took one of the worst horror stories, and made it into much worse horror movie, it has to be something right?
Anyways they made a sequel anyone "interested" yet?

Turistas

Turistas... a group of young backpackers get into a bus accident, leaving them marooned in the rural Brazilian area, that's holding an omnious secret.
Turistas is a horror flick, filled with predictable plot and unscary horror sequences, it gets worse each time you watch it.
Only part that almost succeeds and has pearly tolerable taste, is the acting and the portrayal of the characters, less known Brazilian actors helped this movie to alter a much more realistic undertone.
Story is predictable, nonsense and a bit boring, I just have to mention Kiko's character, who is the worst of the worst, what were the writers thinking, this guy learns how to talk English twice as good within few hours, just ridiculous, not to mention other ultimately dumb characters, who destroyed this movie, catastrophic.
At least the horror is good right? It's not horrible, not okay either, but something between these two, Turistas tried to achieve something unreal with building psychological horror, which they didn't, this movie literally has no jumpscares, it's hard to believe that it could be a bad part, but in this case it is, watch it and you'll notice the cheesyness of it.
Turistas is a movie that just fails on almost every level, fails to keep up with the audience, fails to properly decorate the plot details, failing makes 90% of this movie, it's best to watch it once, it really does get worse after each time seeing it, it's embarrassing.
